Civil Grading Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Grading Supervisor to join our team at Volker Stevin Contracting Ltd. As a key member of our construction operations team, you will be responsible for supervising a crew and equipment to complete civil, residential, or oilfield grading projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise work at assigned jobsites, including conducting daily field safety and environmental inspections as required
  • Maintain records and reporting, ensuring uniformity and compliance with contract specifications
  • Review, complete, and correct all required documentation, including daily timesheets, tailgate meetings, and incident reporting
  • Encourage a high quality of service and lead by example, understanding and applying company performance standards (QA/QC) requirements
  • Hold team members accountable for their results through ongoing performance management, providing immediate verbal or written feedback, recognition, and opportunities for development and cross-training

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of civil or oilfield grading experience
  • Valid Class 5 AB driver's license with a clean abstract
  • Proficiency in computer skills is considered an asset
