Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team at Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions.

About the Role: As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to our Child Welfare and Child & Youth Mental Health programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to staff and management on matters related to child welfare and mental health.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address legal risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform legal decisions and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Law degree and membership in a provincial law society.
  • Experience working in child welfare and mental health.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
