About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Treasurer to join our team at the City of Dryden. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in managing our financial resources and ensuring the long-term sustainability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to achieve our organizational goals.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Accounting and Financial Reporting
    • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • Financial Analysis and Advisory
    • Provide financial analysis and advice to senior management and other stakeholders.
    • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in a municipal or public sector organization.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, staff, and external stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including accounting and budgeting tools.
