Head Chef in a Fast-Paced Restaurant Environment

K&M Franchising Inc. is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled and organized individual who can manage kitchen operations, supervise staff, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment as needed
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operation
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 7 months of experience in a similar position
- Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of East Indian cuisine
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage kitchen operations and staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to train and motivate staff
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as free parking and a permanent employment contract.
Please note that we require applicants to be available to work 30-40 hours per week, and to have a strong command of the English language.
