Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Legal to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide strategic legal advice and support to our Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer, ensuring that our organization operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general legal advice and consultation to all levels of the organization
  • Draft and negotiate agreements, including supplier agreements, requests for proposals, and master services agreements
  • Support risk management initiatives and ensure privacy compliance
  • Respond to intellectual property inquiries and provide employment law advice
  • Assist with policy development and other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • LL.B/J.D. Degree and minimum 7 years' experience in corporate/commercial law
  • Licensed to practice in Ontario and in good standing
  • Experience in Charity Law considered an asset
  • Strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities while paying attention to detail
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively
What We Offer

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a hiring salary range of $131,452 – $164,315, with the ability to progress to a maximum of $188,963. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefit package, tuition reimbursement, flexible work arrangements, and a pension plan.
