Job Summary

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Legal Director to lead its legal team. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Senior Legal Director will provide strategic legal advice and support to the hospital's operations, including compliance, business administration, contracts, and legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement legal strategies to support the hospital's operations

Provide expert legal advice on complex healthcare regulation, multi-party research agreements, and contracts

Manage legal risk associated with the hospital's operations

Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team, Research leadership, and senior management to bring issues to the best resolution

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 to 10 years of legal experience, including experience in leadership, and a strong understanding of corporate law, health research law, privacy and data law, procurement law, governance practices, and the healthcare legal landscape. The candidate should be able to apply strategic thinking to find solutions that meet the hospital's needs and objectives, and have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
