Job Summary:

The Grocery Clerk will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and driving customer loyalty in our retail store. This role involves working closely with the Grocery Manager to maintain a positive and professional work environment, adhering to Meadow Lake Co-op guidelines on hygiene, presentation, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide information, assistance, and service to customers in a manner that promotes the sale of merchandise and meets their needs.
  • Stock and rotate products on display, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized store environment.
  • Be knowledgeable about products and their source, answering customer questions and providing recommendations.
  • Participate in maintaining location image and housekeeping standards, contributing to a clean and welcoming store atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

  • A positive team player attitude and strong work ethic.
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
