We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at 2712147 Ontario Inc. as a Woodworking Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality wooden products, including cabinets, furniture, and other woodwork items.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Fabrication: Study plans, specifications, and drawings of articles to be made, and shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
- Assembly and Finishing: Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, and reinforce joints. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
- Maintenance and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in woodworking or a related field.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, organized, and able to work in a team environment.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a regular schedule of 33 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
