We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Nuclear Applications Engineering Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing innovative concepts for nuclear applications and creating detailed proposals for potential customers.

Your primary responsibilities will include managing proposal development teams, performing mechanical and electrical engineering functions, and providing technical expertise to project execution teams and project managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detailed project planning, including conceptual development, costing, scheduling, risk assessment, and writing technical proposals for nuclear applications.
  • Collaboration with engineers and other technical staff to analyze technical problems and develop winning solutions based on customer specifications.
  • Integration of third-party vendors and suppliers into projects as needed, staying up-to-date with the latest industry technology and innovations.
  • Utilization of computer-aided design, simulation, spreadsheets, and project management software to create detailed technical proposals.
  • Clear communication of scope and deliverables to project teams and customers.
  • Preparation of detailed estimates for time, quantities, labor, and material costs required for work areas such as product design, testing, machine building, equipment installations, and manufacturing processes.
  • Travel to customer sites to assist in project or product development, working with engineering design specifications, objectives, and standards.
  • Creation and delivery of presentations to potential clients with sales teams.

This role requires a post-secondary diploma or degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Systems, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Design, or equivalent, with at least three years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering support, preferably in a nuclear automation environment.

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of robotics, machine controls, and manufacturing processes, as well as the ability to keep abreast of leading-edge technology.

You should be familiar with computerized word processing, computerized spreadsheets, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar drawing packages, and possess excellent presentation skills to effectively communicate ideas, concepts, and pricing information to technical audiences.

Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
