Senior Systems Engineer, Nuclear

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer, Nuclear to join our team at ATS Automation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex automation solutions for the nuclear industry.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop custom machinery, systems, and equipment for nuclear applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design plans, technical specifications, and operating manuals.
- Lead and participate in design reviews, ensuring that all design elements meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Post-secondary degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Systems Design, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Engineering Science, or equivalent.
- Licensed Professional Engineer designation in Ontario (P.Eng.) is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in engineering design, development, and qualification of custom machinery, systems, or equipment.
- 5 years of experience in nuclear tooling and equipment development and testing, preferably including field support and experience.
- Thorough understanding of machine design and build, machine controls, structured problem solving, statistical analysis, and precision engineering principles.
- Good written and oral communication skills and ability to lead or work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team.
