Early Childhood Development Specialist

We are seeking an Early Childhood Development Specialist to join our team at CPE L'Écho Magique. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of $60,000 - $70,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
About the RoleThis role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with young children and their families. As an Early Childhood Development Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
You will work in a child care centre setting, leading activities, telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest. You will also encourage children to express creativity through various media, guide and assist them in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems.
Your day-to-day tasks will include planning and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers, and participating in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems.
Requirements- A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience;
- At least 3 years to less than 5 years of relevant experience; and
- Possession of Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR, Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Training certifications, and a Criminal Record Check.
You must also have excellent oral communication skills, punctuality, dependability, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, judgement, reliability, team player qualities, and values and ethics.
