About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Banking Vice President to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our Investment Banking Coverage team, you will be responsible for managing our global business relationships with large multinational clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Strategy Development: Work with key business lines to drive overall client strategy and generate deal flow.
  • Deal Origination: Establish a client and product strategy to develop our FIG/sponsor coverage Canada franchise.
  • Relationship Building: Drive deal flow through personal relationships and introductions between SG delegates and clients.
  • Business Line Collaboration: Interact with business line product specialists on specific client initiatives.
  • Portfolio Management: Track live deals and pitch communication for current and prospective clients.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare Pre-Screening / Support Memos (business cases and client profitability analysis) and profitability analysis for prospective transactions.
  • Client Profile Development: Develop client profiles and conduct special sector studies as needed.
  • Communication: Communicate with clients for periodic Know Your Client document updates and prepare client presentations.
  • Corporate Finance: Gather corporate finance data on individual clients or industrial sectors.
  • Travel: Travel for industry presentations and client meetings as needed.
Requirements
  • Strong Written and Verbal Presentation Skills

  • Ability to Handle Multiple Projects
  • Strong Financial Accounting and Corporate Finance Skillset
  • Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • 6-8 Years of Prior Work Experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Asset Management, or Consulting
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Related Fields
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in Computer-Based Research Tools
  • Knowledge of Bank Products
  • Strong Personal Drive and Self-Motivation
Language Requirements

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
