Cannabis Cultivation Specialist

Aurora Cannabis is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Cultivation team as a Team Member, Cultivation (Propagation). In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the propagation process, including cloning, rooting, and initial growth stages of plants.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in cloning, cutting, transplanting, and maintaining plants during the propagation process.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in the propagation phase.
- Monitor and maintain the health and growth of propagated plants, including watering, feeding, and transplanting as required.
- Report any signs of disease, pests, or abnormalities to the propagation lead.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in the propagation area to prevent contamination and ensure optimal plant growth conditions.
- Aid in cleaning and sanitizing tools and equipment used in propagation processes.
- Maintain accurate records of propagation activities, including growth data, inventory levels, and observations.
- Collaborate with the propagation lead to document tasks performed and report any issues encountered.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in plant care, propagation, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Training or certifications in horticulture, agriculture, or propagation techniques are advantageous.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and after hours as required.
- Physical effort is required, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable working with cannabis.
- Must be able to wear proper PPE (jump suits, safety glasses, hair nets, etc.).
- Previous experience with maintaining and processing plants.
- Legally permitted to work in Canada.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed.
- Flexibility with work and scheduling.
- Team-orientated with strong interpersonal skills.
- Safety-conscious.
- High level of honesty and integrity.
- Commitment to product quality.
- Functional English (verbal and written).
