About This Opportunity
The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a skilled Mechanic II to join our Fleet Services Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of government mobile machinery and equipment used for road maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair equipment failure, rebuilds, and adjustments
• Use specialized tools and equipment located at a government facility
• Assist with field repairs as required
Requirements
• High school diploma and a Provincial Certificate of Qualification in the Truck and Transport Trade
• Five years of diversified mechanical experience
• Valid Nova Scotia driver's license with Air Brakes and acceptable driving record
