About the Role

Cheme Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams on various projects, providing coaching and mentorship to junior staff, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
  • Team Management: Manage and develop a team of engineers and technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects successfully.
  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain project plans, including project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that projects are delivered to the required technical standards.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are understood and met.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Applied Science degree in engineering from a recognized Canadian university or Bachelor of Science degree in a physical science from a recognized Canadian university.
  • Experience: 5 years of current work experience in project management and process development or technology transfer, with experience managing capital projects from $5,000-$20,000,000.
  • Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English, ability to communicate clearly with clients, knowledge of common business practices and techniques, and proficiency in Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications: Designation as a Project Management Professional is not required but is considered an asset.
