About the Role

Cheme Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams on various projects, providing coaching and mentorship to junior staff, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
  • Team Management: Manage and develop a team of engineers and technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects successfully.
  • Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, ensuring they are delivered successfully.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Applied Science degree in engineering from a recognized Canadian university or Bachelor of Science degree in a physical science from a recognized Canadian university.
  • Experience: 5 years of current work experience in project management, process development, or technology transfer, with experience managing capital projects from $5,000-$20,000,000.
  • Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English, ability to communicate clearly with clients, knowledge of common business practices and techniques, use of Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to use Microsoft Project to create schedules and track project resources.
