About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Earth Surface Processes. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a strong research program in the area of Earth surface processes, with a focus on terrestrial natural hazards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct innovative research in Earth surface processes, with a focus on terrestrial natural hazards
  • Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Earth sciences and related fields
  • Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
  • Secure external funding for research projects
  • Contribute to departmental and university service
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Earth sciences or a related field
  • Postdoctoral research experience or equivalent
  • Strong publication record and potential for securing research funding
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with geospatial analysis and remote sensing
  • Knowledge of computational methods and programming languages
  • Experience with teaching and supervising students
