Job Summary

This is a permanent full-time position with the Government of Saskatchewan. As a Child Protection Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and services to children and families in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support children and families
  • Provide counseling and therapy services to children and families
  • Collaborate with community agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive support services
  • Conduct home visits and assessments to identify needs and develop plans
  • Provide education and training to children and families on topics such as parenting and child development

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. social work, child and youth care)
  • Experience working with children and families in a social services setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in a variety of settings, including homes, schools, and community agencies
  • May be required to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
  • May be required to travel to remote areas
