About Ports North

Ports North is seeking an experienced Data Risk Manager Finance to join our team. As a key member of our organization, this role will play a critical part in aligning technology solutions with business goals and fostering innovation.

Compensation: $60-$80/Hour CAD

The ideal candidate will act as a strategic advisor, managing complex projects and enhancing decision-making through advanced data visualization and reporting techniques. This role requires someone who can analyze trends and patterns in industry-related data and analytics, develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and consult on business strategy, IT systems, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct root-cause analyses and resolve complex issues across organizational levels.
  • Develop tools and deliver training programs for non-technical users on reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Assess the impact of project scope changes, including benefits, risks, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Document data flows, systems, and processes for improved design and management.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion and align work with organizational values and strategies.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's or higher in Data Analytics, IT, Business, or related field.
    • Proven experience in data analytics, visualization, IT consulting, and strategic project management.
    • Previous experience as a Metrics Risk Officer, Data Analyst, IT Consultant, or similar.
  • Expertise in driving data-driven decision-making.
