Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Whitetooth Grill Prep Cook to join our team at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, ensuring a safe and clean work environment, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and plate food to established quality and presentation standards.
  • Ensure that food is received, stored, handled, and prepared in a hygienic and safe manner.
  • Assist with inventory and menu development as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with restaurant staff and teammates.
  • Promote a safe, sanitized work environment, ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and food storage management.
  • Participate in orientation, team meetings, regular cleaning, and season-end clean and close procedures.
  • Ensure other team members are supported in their roles as necessary.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 1-year previous experience in a food preparation role in a professional dining establishment.
  • A love of, and passion for, food and cooking.
  • Physical capability of lifting up to 30lbs and performing manual labor, standing for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Food Safe or other food handling certification.
  • Culinary background, education, or diploma - an asset.
