Program Director Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to lead our team and drive the success of our radio stations. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to grow ratings and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the programming department and drive ratings growth through strategic leadership
  • Foster a positive and collaborative station culture
  • Develop and execute detailed strategic and operational plans
  • Mentor and develop on-air talent
  • Collaborate with corporate and radio division teams to implement strategic initiatives
  • Develop and execute revenue-generating programming and integrated offerings
  • Manage general administration, HR matters, and budget oversight
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in radio broadcasting or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in radio operations, with on-air experience an asset
  • Proven ability to coach and direct on-air talent
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to share ideas across Corus Programming platforms
  • Demonstrated understanding of multi-platform branding
  • Experience in successfully managing the programming department of a radio station
  • Adaptability and comfort in a fast-paced industry
  • Strong relationship-building skills with key stakeholders and partners
  • History of leveraging programming to drive revenue
