About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Jawanda and son Enterprises. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Operate dishwashers and washing machines to ensure all dishes, glassware, and utensils are sanitized and ready for use.
  • Restock condiments, supplies, and cleaning products as needed.
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Participate in cleaning and sanitizing tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
  • Support the serving team by replenishing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized serving area.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for long periods.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and credit transactions.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
