Job Summary

The Clinical Services Manager will provide strategic leadership and direction to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing operational plans, managing clinical service area operations, and leading a team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic priorities and operational plans to achieve organizational goals.
  • Manage clinical service area operations, including coordinating and establishing priorities, assessing and monitoring staffing requirements and supplies.
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to ensure the achievement of required outcomes.
  • Develop and manage the program budget to complement strategic directions within existing fiscal constraints.
  • Coordinate contract management and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Lead quality improvement activities, including the identification of evidence-based outcomes, development of quality indicators, and care pathways.

Requirements

  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related degree from an accredited University, a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Current registration/membership with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) or an appropriate recognized professional association.
  • Proven leadership ability, with communication and interpersonal skills conducive to interacting in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong skills in operations management, including critical thinking, problem resolution, and human and fiscal resource management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and promote teamwork, with a commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
