Job Title: Casual Educational Assistant

We are seeking a Casual Educational Assistant to support students with special needs in our classrooms. As a member of our team, you will provide academic, emotional, and physical support to students, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with developmental delays, physical disabilities, or behavioral challenges
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation, and support students in achieving their academic goals
  • Respond to students' physical, emotional, and hygienic needs, and promote a safe and healthy environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the educational program
Qualifications:
  • Graduating in the spring of 2025 with a diploma in Developmental Service Worker, Child & Youth Care Worker, or a related discipline
  • First Aid, CPR, NVCI, Braille, and/or Signing certification considered an asset
