Job Description

Job Title: PDP2220 Special Education, part II

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced educator to join our team as a Special Education Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supporting students with exceptional needs, developing individualized programs, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and support students with exceptional needs in a variety of settings
  • Develop and implement individualized programs based on informal and formal assessments
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • Communicate assessment results and modify expectations as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with legal issues pertaining to special education

Requirements:

A Master's degree in Education and/or a Specialist qualification in Special Education is required. Recent experience in teaching full-time in a school or working in administration for a School Board is also necessary. The ability to apply the Ethical Standards and the Standards of Practice of the Teaching Profession is essential.
