RK Sidhu Trucking Ltd. is seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions using computer equipment and GPS devices.
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, operating straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
- Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Driver logbook and inspection report experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
This is an on-the-road job with a permanent work term. The work language is English, and the work hours are 35 hours per week.
