Job Description

The Human Resources Advisor plays a crucial role in supporting ICS Leaders and the Human Resources Coordinator/Administrator in day-to-day operations. This includes employee relations, engagement and satisfaction, disability and attendance management, management coaching and training.

This position ensures adherence to Company policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example, and establishes a safe and welcoming work environment for all Team Members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides coaching, advice, and guidance to leaders and Human Resources Coordinator/Administrator on employee relations issues, including complaints, policy violations, investigations, discipline, and terminations.
  • Assesses exit interview results to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Supports leaders and employees with the interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assists with internal investigations and provides recommendations on issues.
  • Maintains effective employee relations, including participation in employee complaints resolution, mediation/facilitation, and intervention in employee and manager conflicts.

Reporting Relationships

The Human Resources Advisor reports to the Human Resources Business Partner and liaises with ICS employees as needed.

Education and Experience

A Post-secondary education in Human Resources is required. Certification as a Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is preferred or working towards the designation is an asset.

A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience within a multi-location service-driven enterprise is required. Demonstrated knowledge of employment legislation, coaching and counselling, dispute resolution, and facilitation skills is essential.
