Job Title: Radiological Technologist 1

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Technologist 1 to join our team at Providence Health Care. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as related duties, while observing safe radiation protection practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in accordance with established standards, procedures, and radiation protection practices.
  2. Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, including processing radiographs and archiving acquired data.
  3. Prepare patients for examination, explain procedures, and provide instructions as needed.
  4. Collect and record relevant clinical data, including patient history and clinical information.
  5. Prepare contrast agents and maintain equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
  6. Monitor patient care and safety, adhering to department standards and policies.
  7. Participate in quality improvement and risk management procedures, and contribute to departmental orientations and in-service presentations.
  8. Perform a variety of clerical duties, including data entry and patient demographics.
Requirements:
  • Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
