Job Summary:

You will lead a team of experienced construction professionals in managing complex industrial and commercial construction projects. Your expertise in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling will ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement project plans and schedules to meet project milestones and completion dates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, regulations, and codes.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules in conjunction with project teams.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor project progression.
  • Provide strong leadership to construction team members to achieve project targets.
  • Identify and manage opportunities and risks to achieve best possible impact on schedule and financial targets.
  • Maintain and track all financial aspects of projects, including forecasts and billings.
  • Manage procurement processes, including subcontractor/trade/supplier negotiations and awards.
Requirements:
  • 8-10+ years of related work experience as a Project Manager on residential, commercial, industrial construction projects.
  • Experience managing construction projects within aircraft hangars, aviation warehousing facilities, healthcare, and/or high-rise residential would be preferred.
  • Completed post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline an asset.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, costs, budgets, and current construction practices and methodology.
  • Ability to determine problem root causes, identify short and long-term solutions, anticipate patterns, and look beyond immediate problems to wider implications.
  • Capable of anticipating constructability issues in moderate to complex situations and creating new solutions in the construction plan and schedule.
  • A track record of building successful teams and promoting teamwork through motivating and coaching.
