Job Summary:

You will lead complex construction projects with a proven track record of delivering results on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a seasoned Project Manager, you will create and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring the successful completion of multiple commercial and residential projects.

  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental protection programs to ensure compliance with Ledcor's standards and applicable regulations.
  • Create and maintain project quality programs to ensure project materials and work meet quality standards.
  • Ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules to meet project milestones and completion dates.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor project progress.
  • Provide strong leadership to construction team members, leveraging individual and group strengths to achieve project targets.
  • Identify and manage opportunities and risks to achieve project schedule and financial targets.
  • Manage project finances, including forecasts and billings.
  • Procure subcontractors, trades, and suppliers, negotiating and awarding contracts.
  • Perform other related duties as outlined in Ledcor's Construction Operations Manual.
Qualifications:
  • 8-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager on residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects.
  • Experience managing construction projects in aircraft hangars, aviation warehousing facilities, healthcare, and high-rise residential would be preferred.
  • Local to Kingston, Ontario, may be given preference due to the nature of work. Applicants residing outside of Kingston must be willing to relocate.
  • Completed post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset.
  • Experience managing new build construction projects valued $80M+.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, costs, budgets, and current construction practices and methodology.
  • Ability to determine problem root causes, identify short and long-term solutions, and anticipate patterns.
  • Capable of anticipating constructability issues in moderate to complex situations and creating new solutions in the construction plan and schedule.
  • A track record of building successful teams and promoting teamwork through motivating and coaching.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
