We are seeking a skilled Horticultural Specialist to join our team at S Tibbi Renovations Inc. As a key member of our landscape maintenance crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the beauty and health of our outdoor spaces.

About the Role

As a Horticultural Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the construction and installation of new landscapes
  • Tying and securing plants to ensure they thrive in their environments
  • Performing regular maintenance tasks such as pruning, weeding, and fertilizing trees and plants
  • Maintaining lawns through regular mowing and trimming
  • Removing litter and debris from our outdoor spaces
  • Transporting and spreading topsoil and other materials as needed
  • Planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees in designated areas
  • Applying fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth
  • Digging graves for cemetery services
  • Repairing and maintaining equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition
  • Creating daily progress reports to track our work
  • Providing water and care for plants, lawns, and gardens
  • Operating and maintaining various landscape maintenance equipment
  • Removal of trees when necessary

The ideal candidate will have experience in horticulture or a related field, with a strong understanding of plant care and maintenance. A secondary school diploma is required, and experience is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

The Horticultural Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain our outdoor spaces. This includes:

  • Performing physical labor in all types of weather conditions
  • Lifting heavy objects and using manual dexterity to perform tasks
  • Working independently and as part of a team to achieve goals
  • Following safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents

In return for your hard work and dedication, you can expect a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a 30-40 hour workweek, with opportunities for advancement within the company.
