Lakeside Garden Gallery is currently seeking a skilled Horticultural Labourer - Plant Care Specialist to join our team. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of $50,000 - $65,000 per year.
Job Description:The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the health and appearance of our greenhouse crops, ensuring they are clean, tidy, and free from pests or diseases. Key tasks include cleaning the crops, cutting horticultural crops, green house cleaning, weeding, assisting in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants, mixing and preparing soils, potting and re-potting plants, applying fertilizers, reporting signs of insect or disease damage, watering and tending to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and keeping work areas clean.
This role requires a strong attention to detail, as well as physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience working with equipment such as forklifts and light trucks, and will hold a valid driver's license.
