BRANCH OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
The Branch Operations Supervisor is responsible for aligning our Autoplan, Personal lines, and Commercial teams through guidance, instruction, coaching, and positive leadership to meet growth objectives. They are solution-focused and promote ongoing enhancement in both external and internal client service. A Supervisor fosters effective interpersonal relationships that encourage the professional development of their team and peers. This role is accountable for overall branch production retention and growth, as well as recruitment, team motivation, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a mentor and leader to inspire the team to surpass client expectations.
- Manage a portfolio of business in either personal lines or commercial based on prior experience.
- Establish and train on client service standards.
- Oversee the selection and recruitment process; plan workforce needs.
- Evaluate current and new staff's capabilities to learn and organize training, adapting training methods based on learning preferences.
- Address challenging situations with composure and professionalism.
- Express gratitude and appreciation towards team members and clients.
- Understand the activities that drive production; set goals to promote growth.
- Manage performance or provide corrective feedback to team members to support their professional development.
- Support fellow Supervisors; participate in and contribute ideas during team leader meetings.
- Communicate achievements and changes effectively with team members.
- Act in a fair, ethical, and professional manner.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong knowledge of Autoplan, with the ability to complete an ICBC Autoplan transaction.
- Create an environment where everyone is motivated to perform at their best.
- Possess a level two general insurance license.
- Dedicated to continuous improvement.
- Exhibit strong client service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and effectively with team members and clients.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Positive influence and the ability to motivate team members.
