We are seeking an experienced Mental Health and Wellbeing Specialist to join our team at The Children's Society.

As a specialist in mental health, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people affected by Domestic Violence.

The role involves developing relationships with professionals across various organizations to enhance the emotional, mental health, and wellbeing offer, increasing personal resilience and empowering individuals to manage their own mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children and young people who have been victims of Domestic Violence
  • Developing therapeutically informed interventions as part of the clinically informed youth work workforce
  • Maintaining effective relationships with professionals across organizations and other service providers
  • Managing your own caseload and prioritizing tasks effectively
  • Producing clear, concise reports that demonstrate high standards of written communication

About the Role:

This is a permanent position with a provisional end date for funding of 31/03/2025. The successful candidate will be required to work 37 hours per week and must hold a full driving license with access to a car for business purposes.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children and young people presenting with emotional, behavioural, and/or mental health difficulties
  • Experience supporting children and young people who have been victims of Domestic Violence and Abuse
  • Able to demonstrate effective use of clinical measures and outcomes
  • Ability to manage own case load and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Demonstrates high standards in written communication, with the ability to write clear, concise reports

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience working with children and young people in a similar setting, delivering structured interventions
  • Relevant professional qualification such as Social Work, Diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy, Psychology, Youth Work, or Nursing, or significant relevant experience
  • Full driving license and access to a car for business purposes
