Job Title: Service Technician

Brandt Tractor Ltd. is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at our Brossard Construction & Forestry location.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Service Technician to repair and maintain construction and forestry based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the working condition of heavy duty equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Accurately document work orders and machine information.
  • Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance and inspection.
  • Locate and order parts from parts personnel.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Meet physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting, climbing, and prolonged standing.
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred.
  • Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
