Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on heavy duty equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as excellent communication and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the working condition of heavy duty equipment and diagnose any issues
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on heavy duty equipment, including assembly, disassembly, and ordering of parts
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
  • Document all machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders
  • Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards
Requirements
  • Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Proven computer and technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work
  • Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • A commitment to high quality customer service with a strong people orientation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment
  • Enrolled as an Apprentice or certified Journeyperson in the heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
