Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Schedule Staff: Oversee the daily operations of the front-of-house team, ensuring that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- Liaise with Chefs and Customers: Communicate effectively with our chefs to ensure that dishes are prepared to the highest standard, and with customers to address any concerns or complaints.
- Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints, resolving issues in a fair and timely manner.
- Answer Customer Questions: Provide accurate and helpful information to customers regarding menu items, preparation methods, and other queries.
- Greet Customers: Welcome customers warmly and ensure that they feel valued and appreciated.
- Perform Opening and Closing Activities: Conduct opening and closing duties, including setting up and closing down the front-of-house area.
- Receive Reservations and Assign Tables: Manage reservations and seating arrangements, ensuring that customers are seated in a timely and efficient manner.
- Receive Payments: Handle customer payments and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with a high level of physical activity.
- Personal Suitability: Excellent client focus, flexibility, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Support for newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Support for Youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Support for Indigenous People: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
