About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Nurse Aide to join our team at Assurance Home Care Inc. as a Patient Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to our patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Medical Support: Take patients' vital signs, administer medications, and provide basic first aid as needed.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including making beds, changing linens, and cleaning equipment.
  • Companionship: Engage with patients through conversation, activities, and social interactions, helping to alleviate loneliness and boredom.
  • Documentation: Accurately record patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to lift, bend, and move patients as needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
