Role Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting nursing staff in delivering personal care to patients under the guidance of Registered Nurses and/or Registered Practical Nurses.
  • Performing various tasks related to the daily living activities of patients.
  • Upholding health and safety standards to maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Communicating effectively with team members and patients to ensure quality care.
  • Collaborating as an integral part of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

  • Completion of 1-2 years of accredited education in a healthcare-related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is considered an asset.

What We Provide

Joining NYGH means becoming part of a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This Part-Time Permanent position involves 8 and 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes pay in lieu of benefits, vacation pay, and the opportunity to participate in the Hospital Pension Plan.
