Job Description:

G3 Canada Limited is a leading player in the Canadian Grain enterprise, committed to building a smarter path from Farmer's fields to the global market.

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to provide strategic leadership and oversight for our Engineering department. This role requires a seasoned leader with extensive experience in project management, engineering, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develops and implements strategic plans for the Engineering department, aligning goals with the company's overall strategy and objectives.
  2. Project Management: Oversees the planning, execution, and completion of major engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and budget.
  3. Asset Health: Provides guidance and support for the ongoing asset health of existing facilities.
  4. Team Leadership: Leads, mentors, and manages the Engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  5. Process Improvement: Identifies and implements best practices and process improvements to enhance project efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
  6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives and managers, regulators, authorities, and business partners.
  7. Financial Management: Develops and manages project budgets and resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
  8. Risk Management: Identifies project risks and develops mitigation strategies, addressing and resolving issues and challenges that arise during project execution.
  9. Quality Assurance: Ensures engineering practices and project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  10. Industry Trends: Stays abreast of industry trends, technologies, and innovations, incorporating new methodologies and technologies to enhance project outcomes.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in project engineering or management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  3. Proven experience in leading and managing large-scale and complex engineering projects.
  4. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
  5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  6. Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
  7. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
