About Our Client

Our client is a leading construction management firm with a strong presence in the residential and commercial sectors. They specialize in delivering complex construction projects using various methods, from traditional plans and specifications to turn-key solutions.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Site Superintendent to ensure projects meet their scheduled targets and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for and implement health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project.
  • Regularly update the construction schedule to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate tasks and activities with various project stakeholders, including clients, architects, consultants, site foremen, field personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that materials and workmanship comply with quality standards and regulations.
  • Lead by example to ensure that all site personnel adhere to the company's safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry as an Assistant Site Superintendent within an established construction company.
  • Educational background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A solid understanding of all construction trades and construction techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry operations, specifically construction specifications, building materials, methods, and procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for leading and inspiring a diverse team.
  • Skilled in using construction management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
