Our client is a reputable general contractor with a strong presence in the GTA and Southwestern Ontario. They have a proven track record of delivering successful projects for public sector clients, particularly in the fields of education, healthcare, and municipal or provincial government.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure timely and budget-friendly project completion.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and on-site personnel to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Create and manage project schedules to meet milestones and resolve emerging issues.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team and other internal departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in an established ICI General Contractor.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple full-cycle new construction and renovation projects for healthcare facilities, universities, or government buildings.
  • Relevant educational background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
