Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of water treatment and wastewater treatment facility construction projects.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and work plans, ensuring projects stay on track and meet key milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications and requirements are fully understood and met.
  • Manage all project resources, including subcontractors, materials, and equipment, ensuring efficient use to maintain cost control.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any challenges, and ensure that construction activities comply with quality and safety standards.
  • Oversee project documentation, ensuring all contracts, permits, and regulatory approvals are in place.
  • Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, budget status, and potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and company safety policies.
  • Proactively address any changes in project scope, timelines, or budget, resolving issues and adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Lead project meetings with internal teams and clients, documenting key decisions and actions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in ICI, industrial, or civil construction, particularly in water treatment or wastewater treatment facility projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods, especially in ICI and civil sectors.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and project scheduling.
  • Familiarity with provincial safety regulations and environmental compliance standards.
  • Proficient in project management software, Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
