Job Title: Research Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Analyst to join our team in Toronto. As a Research Analyst, you will contribute to the overall success of the Research team by executing specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives in support of the team's research priorities and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fundamental research and ad hoc projects, including general research, data organization, financial modeling, valuation, report writing, presentations, and management team interviews.
  • Understand and apply JFL's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas in accordance with the firm's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education with a focus in business administration, finance, economics, or other related field.
  • Member of the investment program within their school considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated passion for investing.
  • Interest in ESG and sustainable investing.
  • Analytical and accounting skills.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling.
  • Students with top grades and standing GPA considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Organized with attention to details.
