About the RoleIn this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of City Hall and its outbuildings. You will work closely with our facilities team to ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure, and provide exceptional customer service to staff and visitors.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also have experience with building operations and maintenance, including knowledge of environmental control and facility mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance and repair of City Hall and its outbuildings
- Work closely with the facilities team to ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure
- Provide exceptional customer service to staff and visitors
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a 5th Class Stationary Engineers Certificate and Refrigeration Engineer Certificate, as well as five years of experience in building operations and maintenance. A First Aid certificate and WHMIS certification are also required.
The successful candidate will be able to interpret and apply relevant legislation and policies related to the operation and maintenance of City facilities. They will also possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel within the city.
