About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Siding Installer to join our team at B.C. LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing exterior prefabricated products, determining layout and installation procedures, and utilizing hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install exterior prefabricated products, ensuring high-quality results and meeting project deadlines.
  • Determine layout and installation procedures, taking into account site-specific requirements and safety protocols.
  • Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, applying technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs, providing support with housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Support social and labour market integration, facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disasters, providing a supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, helping them to integrate into the workforce.
  • Offer mentorship programs, pairing newcomers and refugees with experienced employees, promoting knowledge sharing and career development.
Support for Youths
  • Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, providing hands-on experience and skills development.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth, promoting career advancement and personal growth.
  • Provide awareness training to employees, creating a welcoming work environment for youth and promoting diversity and inclusion.
Support for Veterans
  • Recruit Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives, recognizing the value of their skills and experience.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, promoting cultural understanding and respect.
  • Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees, creating a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 30-40 hours per week. The work language is English.
