About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Siding Installer to join our team at B.C. LTD. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing exterior prefabricated products, determining layout and installation procedures, and utilizing hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install exterior prefabricated products, ensuring high-quality results and meeting customer expectations.
  • Determine layout and installation procedures, taking into account site-specific requirements and product specifications.
  • Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, applying technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Experience

  • Assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, and storage.
  • Support social and labour market integration, facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster.
  • Support foreign credential recognition and offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
Support for Youths
  • Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, promoting skills development and career growth.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth, fostering a supportive work environment.
  • Offer awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
Support for Veterans
  • Recruit Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees, promoting a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
