Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Frontend Web Developer to lead our growing team in the exciting field of healthcare technology. This role will involve building components on top of our enterprise-grade application, taking ownership of Hypercare's web app development, and collaborating with frontend and backend engineers, designers, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and contribute to the growth of the Web team at Hypercare.
  2. Oversee the Web Client and Web Admin platform to ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness, while managing both immediate needs and sustainable growth.
  3. Add new features and enhance existing code to a production-grade web application.
  4. Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
  5. Identify and correct bottlenecks and bug fixes.
  6. Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable code.
  7. Collaborate with backend engineers on integration with APIs under active development.
  8. Work with the product manager to meet specifications.
  9. Setup and iterate on CI/CD pipeline.
  10. Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code.
  11. Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
  12. Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  13. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:

  1. At least 5 years of full-time experience building products.
  2. Expertise across the web ecosystem with strong fundamental knowledge of the DOM, Web APIs, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  3. Good understanding of modern frontend design patterns.
  4. Experience with common front-end development tools such as Vite, Webpack, NPM, etc.
  5. Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
  6. Proficient understanding of Git and branching strategies.
  7. Self-starter who can keep up-to-date with the latest updates and best practices in the frontend web development ecosystem.
  8. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  9. A team player with the ability to work in a supportive team environment as well as independently.

What We Offer

Hypercare offers a comprehensive compensation package, including:

  1. Base salary: $130,000 to $180,000 CAD annually.
  2. Healthcare and dental benefits.
