Precision Human Capital Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of HVAC systems for various types of buildings in Alberta. Our client is a reputable Consulting Engineering organization with a strong presence in the Western Canadian market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize TRACE 700 and TRACE 3D software to design HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.
  • Conduct energy modeling and simulations to assess the performance of HVAC systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage HVAC projects from conception through completion, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients, contractors, and other team members regarding HVAC systems and design considerations.
  • Prepare detailed reports, specifications, and drawings for HVAC projects.
  • Ensure all designs and installations comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into building designs.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree (Bachelor Degree)
  • Previous experience providing consulting engineering services (with smaller consulting firms)
  • Experience with petrochemical, industrial, and manufacturing sector projects
  • Experience in designing heating and cooling systems, including design calculations (TRACE 700 or TRACE 3D)
  • Experience overseeing technical package preparation and design development, including quality checking
  • Project Management & Controls experience
  • Leadership skills and team building skills
  • Experience in preparation of technical reports and specifications
  • Familiarity with contract review and negotiations
  • Experience with managing multiple project scopes at one time.
