Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Praxis Site Services Ltd. as an Excavating Machine Operator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and cranes to perform excavation and construction tasks.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Clean and lubricate equipment, refill tanks, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Measurement and Calculation: Measure distance, volume, length, and weight to ensure accurate calculations and project progress.
  • Computer-Controlled Equipment: Operate computer-controlled equipment to perform tasks such as grading and excavation.
  • Log Keeping: Complete onboard and other logs to track equipment usage, maintenance, and project progress.
  • Pre-Operational Checks: Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Accident Reporting: Prepare accident reports to document incidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Special Attachments: Secure special attachments to equipment to perform specific tasks.
  • Hydraulic Systems: Operate hydraulic pumping systems to power equipment.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
